Leaving Las Vegas

[The Jeff Pulver Blog - Notes, comments and observations] While I was at the WSOP, I enjoyed the opportunity of meeting and seeing many of the people who are part of the professional poker tour as well as meeting people who came out the 2005 WSOP with the dream of winning it all and dealing with the consequences afterwards. Congratulations again to Scott Kargman for making into “the money” in WSOP event #43.

[The Jeff Pulver Blog - Notes, comments and observations] While it feels great to know that I was lucky enough to last in the Main Event longer than many poker professionals, having tasted what it feels like playing in the Main event of the World Series of Poker, I know that I will do what I can to play in the main event in 2006.

Bait

[Steal The Blinds] Bait I finally decided to try PokerTracker. It’s installed and configured, and I am about 100 hands into the 1000 hand trial. Even before installing PT, I knew my game needed a lot of work.

http://pokernerd.blogspot.com [Missives from a Degenerate Underachiever] Sklansky in TPFAP and Harrington in HOH both stress the need to be vigilant of situations where you really would like a free or cheap card/showdown. Check/call or check/check can be a viable strategy for any street if your hand is vulnerable.

Poker's something I enjoy a great deal, and usually, I do pretty alright at it, so I figured, take out $300, play some cards and see what happened.
