“The Nuts”
[Beginner's Poker Blog] If a Holdem board was AcQh9s7hJd, then the best possible hand is a ace high straight and you would have “the nuts” if your down cards were K10. Now in this case it is possible that two or more player have the best hand with different combinations of K10.

2nd nut flush, paired board, deep

[LeggoPoker] I flat the cmr and turn the flush, he leads for 100 into 167 and I am scared. I elect to flat again, I feel I am most likely behind at this point.

The Last Game - For Now
[Poker On Film] Like I said, when you are that far in front you can afford to muck around a bit. Turns out the hand would have probably played out exactly the same if he had looked at his cards anyway.

the cold, hard reality

[Just Enjoy Him: Ramblings of a Mid-Life Mom] *sigh* I certainly didn’t sign onto adopting him thinking that I’d only be able to raise him for 10-15 years. I imagined raising him to adulthood, and then some.

Fearsome Check-Raise Bluffs Made Easy
[Noted Poker Authority] A flop like K 7 3 is somewhat less dry, but it makes for a great bluffing flop. If your opponent doesnt have either a king or a fluke monster hand, youll likely get the fold you want as long as the other conditions are in place (namely, your opponent has a wide range of hands, the stack sizes are right, and perhaps the continuation bet was on the weak side).

Still four players

[Blind: Poker, geocaching, and other thoughts] A few callers, and it folds around to the button, who raises to $6. The button's a crazy old Asian guy who has built a pretty good stack by paying whatever it takes to see the flop, and then getting out quickly if the flop misses him, but winning big pots with hands of two random cards.

Hand Analysis Continued, and Knowing When TPTK is Beat
[Hammer Player's Poker Blog] Now the turn card completes one of the obvious draws from the flop -- the oesd with 98 in the button's hand -- the big blind checked and the button went and bet out strongly, even after getting checkraised on the previous street. If there was any doubt that the button is sitting on a monster here after the flop, I believe that doubt is just about gone after this lead bet on the turn, and the big blind should be picking up on this as well by this point in the hand.

Comparing National Championship and Final Four Odds
![]()
[Vegas Watch] In fact, I think these odds are simple extensions of their odds to win the title...Simply, it looks like they are dividing the odds of winning the title by a factor between 4.5 and 5."This is very true. It is also an awful way to go about creating these Final Four odds.
