Winning Big in No Limit Texas Holdem
[Spin the roulette wheel] In a no limit Texas Holdem game, the odds of losing if you take a risk by bluffing or if you play a bad hand are much higher than they are in a limit game. This means that your opponents are less likely to call you or to stay with a poor hand in no limit games.

Where can I play pot limit Omaha High (B&M) with low blinds?
[Gus Hansen Report] Some Station Casino's in Vegas spread a limit omaha high game but thats the closest you are going to find to a regularly spread low buy-in Omaha hi game - and it's not pot limit. The only regular B&M PLO game in the country is in San Diego at the Palomar club but the blinds are $10/$25.

Quickie
[Raven Poker Training] Tournaments have been more of the same recently, but I have been crushing Poker.com. The converter for Poker Tracker isn’t that efficient, but it has me at 7.86/100 through 25K hands played at 1/2 since the reset. This is quite impressive at least to my standards. On Friday, we went to McSomething in Westwood and Qs in Santa Monica via limo for Amanda’s bday. We boozed for an hour beforehand at Amanda’s and obv continued in the limo. I started w/ Corona’s and changed to Crown in the limo and at the bars. Other than a couple semi-dramatic moments, we had a great time overall. At Q’s, I ran into a close friend my high school that I haven’t seen in a few years. He was with Andrew ‘Goof’ Dickinson (sp?) and brother’s Bean. I chatted a bit w/ them a bit. They are among the few people that became poker players from our high school. Apparently, horryclutch took down the Nightly 100K on Stars Thursday night. Nice!

Interesting Week (15/30 and 9/18) Tues/Fri
[Nik Santi's Poker Blog] I had four people in between me and the original raiser, and I knew almost for certain that seat four was jamming up this flop no matter what, so I wanted to trap everyone's money in instead of CR'ing the flop and losing people who didn't want to call two bets. The plan started out great as the first two limpers called, the other two folded (seat three gave me some lip asking why I would donk-bet, but eventually folded), seat four raised, I 3-bet, one limper folded, the other one called, seat four capped and only had two chips left...

Playing Small Pocket Pairs Preflop in 6-Max No-Limit Hold’em
[Noted Poker Authority] LAG players who challenge for pots are tricky, because LAG players are hard to stack because they tend to have a weaker hand range and are hard to steal from because they challenge for pots. The 3-betting and stack sizes issues all go down to a lack of implied odds for stacking your opponents and a lack of leverage to steal pots.

The losing streak comes to a definitive end
[Poker Grump] It's a little hard to say this, because I'm not used to it yet, but I suppose that I'm a professional poker player. I moved to Vegas intending to get a job as a poker dealer, but while waiting to get hired, I spent the days playing poker instead of dealing it, and soon found that I was able to keep the bills paid.

Poker Strategy Pot Odds
[Highroller-Rakeback.com] Well, Pot Odds is the ratio of what is already in the pot to the amount you would have to bet to stay in the hand. So, if there are $36 in the pot, and you would need to bet $6 to stay in the hand, the pot odds are 36 to 6, or 6 to 1.
