 [Diary of a Nurse] A few disturbing thoughts about the future...: As you know from my previous entry, we were exceptionally well-staffed over the weekend, which was fabulous in many ways. Not only was I able to provide excellent nursing care and spend a little bit of that extra "quality time" with my patients, giving several of them some much-needed TLC, I actually had enough time to take a couple of breaks during my shift last night -- how often does THAT ever happen?? Most days on the job, I've barely got time to pee if I need to, let alone have time for a break...but last night, I actually had the time to do it, and had a most enjoyable few minutes with Sharon, a lovely lady who works PRN in our Facility. Sharon is a nurse from the "old school"...an RN who graduated from a diploma program run by a hospital.

[Tlc6767.blogspot.com] American Woman in Angst: It amazed me the lies people came up with to say they could not go to New Jersey and thus had to stay in The Wall Street office. One woman, an almost 6 feet loud mouth, who once said loudly on the floor that she knew Geraldo Rivera in the biblical sense and laughed heartily about it while some looked on in horror, that her husband would "not allow" her to go to New Jersey to work because it was not "worth it" financially for the family budget to go. Meanwhile, for all of the years we worked the job, she exclaimed often the various episodes in her household that told every one in listening distance who had no choice but to hear her boring stories, that she ran it. She finagled a way to stay in New York, and bragged that she wasn't going to Jersey.

[Sasstastic.com] Randomness and Ramblings: I will certainly miss the boy and the moose, but I think that I will really enjoy myself. I'll get to meet my British coworkers face to face and most likely get to play a little too... I'm on the hunt for 21 hole white Dr. Martens to wear under my wedding dress.
