[Drowned at the River] Fresh off my success in Pauly’s freeroll on Wednesday, I surfed by PokerWorks because I remembered that they have a listing of all upcoming freeroll tournaments.

[Drownedattheriver.com] Drowned at the River: In about 72 hours, wannabe poker celebrities and amateur authors (or professional authors, in some cases) will be decending upon Sin City for the second live WPBT event, Saturday’s WPBT Alladin Classic. But prior to that, on Friday, there will be no less than 9 bloggers (according to some reports) competing in WSOP Event #2: $1500 No Limit Hold ‘Em. If all goes according to plan, there’s gonna be one of the rowdiest bunches of railbirds in World Series history at that event.

I bounced up and down the first hour -- had a nut flush draw and a nut flush with gutshot nut straight draw both miss, but picked up a few small pots. Won a large pot and knocked out The Venetian late in the first hour with a turned nut flush against his slow-played flopped set of 8s.
