In poker, should I, Mark, or Jeff fail, the response to the question of failure is, "Well, I made $50,000 in my real job, and my ability to obtain such a job won't decrease. Deciding to play poker is the financial equivalent of holding an option, where I can exercise it--go full-time--if it pays more than $50k or go back to the normal world." My point is that deciding to play poker for a living is not as crazy as it sounds.
