[Slant Point: Blogging from the heart of NYC] "This morning I sent a copy of the book to Bill O'Reilly because Bill doesn't care much for the blogosphere. I advised him to start a blog as it would quickly gain a huge audience, and if he didn't have the time, to hire a ghost blogger, and I told him SlantPoint would be the ideal ghostblogger, because he's young (and thus presumably not that expensive to rent), smart, experienced and in NYC."
Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.
[Ace of Spades HQ] Friday Flame War Competition: Eric J. has not actually stated that he no longer indulges his, er, passions, which leads me to assume that the he's not the one doing the blog trolling; while Eric J. reads comics and wonders if the Green Lantern is "into fat guys" his jizz-stained Elfquest costume, able to stand up on its own since 1993 and recently displaying a rude monkey-like intelligence, has somehow been able to figure out how to log onto the Internet, and, well, the rest is Ace of Spades Blog history.
[heartonastick.blog-city.com] I Couldn't Handle Her Truth: wondered if every single person at the show was going to run home and blog about it. ± Last Updated:... things, avoid overworked metaphors. I dont need unwritten blog entries riding my conscience... meets The Grapes of Wrath) and instead cites both Harry and Tonto and The Ghost and Mrs. Muir
[Danjaruz Journey Blog] 5 Topics for 05/05/05: Maybe this is what I show HIM, because deep inside I do not trust him any further than I could throw him. Or maybe he listens a little bit too much to people who don't know me. He has been known to take untrue words of others over those of his closest friends. Either way, I could either try and prove him wrong by allowing him more access to my thoughts and my private life or I could just move further away from him, as I have been doing over the past few months, and keep it moving.
Brain Off: I'm the type of person who wants direct access to the Met Centre's models, with depth discussion of simulation assumptions and parameters (one of the mapping hacks I contributed describes how to make animations of global weather conditions). Really the problem is that TV as it stands must satisfy all viewers with just one view. Kids want their weather through the XBOX with option to first person shoot the presenter, pensioners want stable icons over a green England, geeks want XML.
Globe of Blogs ::: Browse by Weblog Location ::: North America ...: This Blog is composed of writings, essays, poetry and almost anything that is worth publishing usually associated with my studies and research at New York University. Slant Point: Blogging from the heart of NYC: Henry is an amazing entrepreneur - starting a few years back with what I call an odd amateurish-looking ad format that defied industry standards. But blogs have never been part of any industry. So the matchup of Blogads and the often imperfect visual blog templates is not as unlikely as it seems. In fact, the fit is just right and the man who had early insight into the power of blog voices is now so sought out he has the luxury to pick and choose who he does business with.
One Louder :: a blog about music and NYC: I finally had a chance to download and listen to the debut album from Junior Boys, Last Exit. The blog-generated hype surrounding this Canadian electronic act has been inescapable over the last couple of weeks and after a couple of listens I can say it's well deserved. Certainly I'm still getting my head around it, but after my initial two full plays, I'm impressed. It's moody, techno-centric pop with plenty of stuttering, syncopated beats and slinky, urban grooves.
One Louder :: a blog about music and NYC: Wilco - A Ghost is Born. The drone jam was a mistake, "Wishful Thinking" drags, and "The Late Greats" never fit in, but I absolutely adore the other 75% of this record. While this'll never be considered Wilco's best work, I don't think they've ever been as comfortable with their sound - live, Ghost was the star of the show.
