[Everything in Moderation - Including Moderation] Whaddaya know.. I learned something: Just as I figured, I played in the WPBT WSOP qualifier on Stars, and I learned something. I've been reading poker blogs for several months now, and it's no coincidence that my play has improved. Reading all that poker thinking out there has rubbed off on me a little, and the excellent play in the tourney served as evidence that I have plenty more to learn.
[Pokerati.com ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::] The Worst Play(s) in Poker: from a player to my right. Anyhow, I started out up, after delivering a shameful beat to another player... never woulda limped in the first place. Not in this game. So I called. The flop came A-x-x.... AQ in the small blind flopped two-pair and had a bettor behind me with a weak ace. Ready for the check-raise, the board paired on the turn and put a possible flush out there on the turn.
Up For Poker Blog: Poker Theory Archives: 3) Any way to get to Vegas-- There appears to be a burgeoning Blogger Con happening around my birthday. I missed my annual Vegas trip this year in lieu of L'il Otis' arrival. Now, there appears to be one hell of a trip forming in a couple months. It seems the only thing standing in my way is my job.
Up For Poker Blog: Is it still a "Mistake": Otis has a fine touch with the shameful shortcomings too, but really, do we want to talk about Otis TOUCHING his "shortcomings"? (So concludes today's unprovoked shot at Otis. The streak continues. He has, for the record, warned me that I'm about 2 shots shy of a retaliatory blast.)
