It’s All About Class

[Bill’s Blog] It seems my recent post on bonus whoring has set off a industry-wide chain of events resulting in many players being booted from online poker sites. Ok, maybe I’ve got delusions of grandeur (actually, I’m quite sure of it). Anyway, it looks like Empire and UB have sparked widespread panic in the online poker world by cutting off people who are generating negative rake.

Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.

[Bill’s Blog] It's All About Class: Last week I made a tongue-in-cheek comment about my post regarding bonus whoring being the cause of the Empire crackdown. It seems my recent post on bonus whoring has set off a industry-wide chain of events resulting in many players being booted from online poker sites. Ok, maybe I've got

[Nickleanddimes] Things That Increase (Decrease) Your Bankroll: Away from poker I played a volleyball tourney all day on Saturday at the 152 Club in Albertville. Top shelf liquor here included a bottle of SoCo, Al would be proud. Even though we went 8-0 during pool play, we lost in the championship match but managed to pay off our entry fee and some of the bar tab (One2Many? Guilty).

[Bad Beat Blog] New Routine: I already feel somewhat liberated by this decision and I'm itching to sink my teeth into some serious SnGs. Hopefully this will translate into more poker-related content here. My poker writing, both in terms of content and frequency, has suffered in recent months along with my excitement for the game. I think all the bonus whoring has contributed to that.

[A Fool And His Money] More on WPT/Tunica, Over-Pimping, and Whoring PokerNOW: The second to last hand in the Tunica episode is worth a ton of analysis, more than my lazy ass wants to do tonight. Instead, I offer you comments made by (I think -- I've yet to verify) a guy I know from college, a very successful poker pro (focusing in mid-stakes limit hold'em and now some NL$400) who lives up in New England. He responded to my post about Scotty Nguyen's play in the 98s vs K8s hand with John Stolzmann. Here's what he had to say (catch the whole thread here):

[Chicks Dig Poker Geeks: A Poker Blog] Full Tilt Madness: Full Tilt is growing on me. The inability to find games 24 hours a day is certainly a setback, but the number of players seems to be growing every day, with myself trying to help that number go up. The promotions they're running (10 million if you qualify for the WSOP through them and win, tournaments offering a % stake in pros) are unique and great opportunities, it's just too bad they can't talk about them on TV and really get noticed.

[Rini.org] Bill’s Blog: I figured if I went out in 30th or better out of 71 I was good. But then the man who would become my nemesis, Joaquin “The Rooster” Ochoa, decided to put me in his crosshairs. Unfortunately for him, I had enough chips that I could make a good dent in his stack if he came after me with anything but the nuts. I’m a firm believer that there’s nothing more dangerous than a guy with nothing to loose and I tried to make that point in several pots where I made no secret of the fact I was willing to put all my chips in the pot if he wanted to dance.

[Shipitpoker.blogspot.com] Ship It Poker: Help out the OL Bank Roll: If you are just starting out, building your bankroll is going to be key in becoming a successful poker player. I will be giving you a few tips on establishing a solid bankroll through bonus whoring. If you already have an established bankroll then I will explain how to pick up an extra $500 to $1,000 a month just for doing what you are already doing, Playing winning poker. If you are currently playing at a poker site and not receiving some kind of bonus from the site then you are just throwing money away.

[Billrini.com] Bill’s Blog » Blog Archive » It’s All About Class: Bill Rini is the Lance Armstrong (nut cancer) of poker blogs. How can you ruin everybody’s bonus whoring like that?
