[Poker-Tastic] Played a crazy mix of games today including crazy pineapple on UB (damn that game can be fun) , Stud and different cash and SnGs/MTTs of NL HE. Got the first nut kicking by getting outdrawn time and time in the Stud MTT on Stars, not to worry though, it was a donkey 1$ tourney, so you cant expect much.

[Gcox25.blogspot.com] Low Limit Grinder: Some of the posts out there offer tremendous insights from players that started out with a bankroll as low as mine and played their way up to the highest limits offered at any of the poker rooms. Some of the posts are from regular guys, like me, who play the lower limits and have accidentally stumbled upon something that they think might be useful to others in the same situation.
[Famous-texas-holdem-poker-player.com] Famous Texas Holdem Poker Players: Especially in the major cardrooms, there is a big repertoire of games, and the V (deciding that the L is the biggest meanest competitor since the days of the Wild West) would go to the Holdem poker table instead of the Stud game (because the L is in there). [Ultimatebet.com] Play Online Poker Games and Texas Hold'em at UltimateBet.com: In this case, weirdly, the no-no word was "dollar." Since players can enter this tournament on a freeroll through UltimateBet.net, there's a very strong Chinese Wall between the fact of this tournament and the fact that, in the real world of poker, money sometimes changes hands. So even though a tournament may use virtual dollars of a certain assigned values, around here they're "chips, only chips, and nothing but the chips, so help us God." And so I wait to do the fix, before catching my flight back to Vegas, and picking up the action there, probably not until late tonight or tomorrow.
[Upforanything.net] Up For Poker Blog: Tournament Action Archives: But anyway, as I'm sure many of you know, the first World Series of Poker, way back in 1970, featured an entry fee of $10,000. And in most of the articles written about the history of the event, there's some comment that mentions how amazing it is that after so many years the entry fee is still that same $10,000, though considerably less when compared to $10K in 1970 dollars.
