[Drowned at the River] Shortly thereafter, I went on a bit of a tear. I have been in the chip lead for about 45 minutes of the second period of play, having $40k+ to second place’s $20k at some points. I’m still in the lead, but the gap has narrowed substantially. I’m now at $46k, with 2nd place at $35k.

[Tao of Poker: A Poker Blog] Hump Day Pimp Day: Hammers, Spoons, Books, Blog Ti...: Once I get to Vegas there's no incentive for me to play online and I might lose some points due to account inactivity. So, I'm going to play one or two of those 2000 player freerolls every week until I leave for Vegas....most likely the 1,000 point ones. I know BG aka the Bobby Flay of poker bloggers made the final table in one and Joanne has grinded her way into the money in another.
[Tao of Poker: A Poker Blog] Razz with Felicia, Party Poker Bonuses, and Slappy...: With 109 players forking over $20 + 2, the latest event on Poker Stars was another wild night. I finished an unimpressive 65th while Derek made the money in another WPBT event. If you count cashing in the HORSE tourney and finishing as the highest blogger at the Blue Parrot Invitational plus his 3rd place finish in a Speed Tourney on Party Poker... then Derek is on a hot run.
[Las Vegas and Poker Blog -] Week in review for 12.05.04: of Hanks recent uber post is a section on Playing the Players and Glenn has posted his successful free-roll on-line tourney strategy. Next, there is a nifty piece from Sound of a Suckout on Online... Wasteland. Dick still has some rooms at Sams Town at a good rate for the upcoming blogger tourney
[Poker Distraction] Snooked At The Last Minute Had another winning ...: that has been down for a little while now, but has apparently come back. They're going to be having a free-rolltourney on Party next Thursday night @ 8pm. This is the message I received: == Hi... caught a late night (11pm) that included a stint at the "blogger table" with Iggy and Pauly
[Tao of Poker: A Poker Blog] Last Thursday at Foxwoods"Poker is about folding h...: The buy in was dropped from the usual $100 to $50. The previous games at the Blue Parrot are hyper competitive and the seats are with skilled players from all walks of life. Signor Ferrari was encouraging binge drinking and loose play with an emphasis on a fun night of poker, which included explaining some strategy and different games with some of the other newbie players. Plus, it was Ladies Night at the Blue Parrot.
[Tao of Poker: A Poker Blog] Happy 1,000,000...Someone shoot me! 1,000,000 w...: I started bleeding worse than when Tatiana Totmianina knocked her noggin' on the ice the other night. I called three bets preflop with Q6o for fuck's sake and I was drunk, but nowhere near Al Cant Hang drunk and never should have pissed away my chips like my alter ego, that drunken Russian sailor on shore leave in Bangkok, which I thought I killed off, but alas, he resurfaced at the Blue Parrot. I slowly gave all my chips away on a collection of loose calls. During a round of Omaha hi/lo, I found the Hilton Sisters in my four cards for three consecutive times.
[Guinnessandpoker.blogspot.com] Party Poker Blogs: Players such as Steve Zolotow, Barry Shulman, Jeff Shulman, Linda Johnson, Paul Phillips, Greg Raymer, Chris Moneymaker, Andy Bloch, Rose, Wendeen Eolis should be put into the same category in poker. Many of those above I know, many I don't. If forced to bet, I'd lay a gigantic price they were all honest in poker.
[Guinnessandpoker.blogspot.com] Party Poker Blogs: Iggys links to other poker blogs have led me to some excellent writing, at least one of which - Maudies - ended up on my permanent reading list. Needless to say, but I'll say it anyway, at least two people are going to the WSOP who wouldn't have been if not for Iggy's initial idea and tireless flogging. And Iggy, when he wants to, can come up with some excellent funny, original material, such as his trip to Aruba post and his wonderful post on the infamous “Fast Eddie.” You can find both by searching his site if you're interested.
[Lasvegasvegas.com] Las Vegas Poker and home of the Poker Prof's Blog: Just over 30 images from the two day event where Phil Hellmuth was crowned king of the head's up action after defeating Chris 'Jesus' Ferguson in a best 2 out of three final match-up. See the poker blog entries for more information.
[Lasvegasvegas.com] Las Vegas and Poker Blog -: Professional player, Chip Jett, is originally from Scottsdale, Arizona; but he and his wife, Karina, now live in Las Vegas. By the time Chip had become old enough to legally play in Vegas poker rooms he had already racked up three years of casino poker experience playing in Indian casinos that allow eighteen year olds to play. Chip's introduction to casino poker was as a dealer; but, he soon learned that the real money went to the players, especially the few good players, so he begin playing more and dealing less. A second important decision Chip made concerning his career as a professional poker player was to leave the cash games behind and limit his play to tournaments, exclusively.
