No Limit Hold Em Strategy - Pre Flop Poker | Texas HoldEm Rules Poker
[Texas HoldEm Rules Poker] On average, even semi tight players should be folding about 80% of their starting hands. We all hate it when we lay down K3 off and the flop comes K33, but the fact is that’s going to happen once every blue moon, and laying down trash hands like A3 off, 37, J2…it’s the smart play, we’re not going to get much love with these hands anyway.

Dealing with trash-talking | Penny Poker
[Penny Poker] *In 1976, Doyle went all-in holding T2 on a AJT2 board, and crushed down his opponent’s AJ when river brought another ten. Next year he won it again with ten-deuce, but this time no bad beat was given: his opponent moved all in with 85 on a T852 board.

Poker: Let opponent bet, and hope for mistake - San Jose Mercury News
[Untitled] The trick is to induce your opponent to make more of them. One way is to let your opponent bet your hand for you, as Nick Schulman showed in this hand at the Rio Hotel's 2008 World Series of Poker $10,000-buy-in main event in Las Vegas.

[Professional Arts and Entertainment Articles Directory] If you miss the flop in this instance, checking and folding may be your best option from an EV standpoint. No Limit Texas Hold em Strategy
[Internet Poker Coach] A question that I get asked by poker players on a frequent basis, is “is there a basic, simple strategy that I can apply to change my poker game right away?” While this may seem like a complex question, with many, many different answers, really there is something that most online poker players can do immediately that will improve their game drastically. The answer to the question is just quit playing crap cards!

Middle pair on the bubble, Stars Sunday Million - Daily Poker Quiz
[Daily Hand Quiz] I think they’re limping with hands they don’t want to raise with but don’t feel like they can fold, and then also with AA sometimes. Any other strong hand, they’re raising - tight players can’t stand the thought of limping KK or AK and seeing a bad flop.

They must make a decision as in pre-flop play, with one change: they can choose to check if they don't want to bet or fold.

Quickie
[Raven Poker Training] Tournaments have been more of the same recently, but I have been crushing Poker.com. The converter for Poker Tracker isn’t that efficient, but it has me at 7.86/100 through 25K hands played at 1/2 since the reset. This is quite impressive at least to my standards. On Friday, we went to McSomething in Westwood and Qs in Santa Monica via limo for Amanda’s bday. We boozed for an hour beforehand at Amanda’s and obv continued in the limo. I started w/ Corona’s and changed to Crown in the limo and at the bars. Other than a couple semi-dramatic moments, we had a great time overall. At Q’s, I ran into a close friend my high school that I haven’t seen in a few years. He was with Andrew ‘Goof’ Dickinson (sp?) and brother’s Bean. I chatted a bit w/ them a bit. They are among the few people that became poker players from our high school. Apparently, horryclutch took down the Nightly 100K on Stars Thursday night. Nice!

The losing streak comes to a definitive end
[Poker Grump] It's a little hard to say this, because I'm not used to it yet, but I suppose that I'm a professional poker player. I moved to Vegas intending to get a job as a poker dealer, but while waiting to get hired, I spent the days playing poker instead of dealing it, and soon found that I was able to keep the bills paid.

Reno Recap
[Hey Lady! Whatcha Readin'?] Unfortunately, in the poker world, pocket Aces are notorious for getting “cracked”, and every poker player has a story to tell about when he had pocket Aces and lost. Fortunately for me, after some raises and re-raises, I had called two people’s all-in bets and my Aces held up.
