[Lasvegasvegas.com] Las Vegas and Poker Blog - Las Vegas and Poker News.: Another Tuesday night with two hours of the 2005 World Series of Poker on ESPN television. Tonight we get to see the final table of the $2,500 buy-in No-limit Hold'em event #24 in the first hour and then we return to the action at Rio Resorts in Las Vegas for the final table of the $5,000 buy-in w/rebuys Pot-limit Omaha.
[Poker.about.com] Poker at About.com -- Texas Hold'em -- Learn to Play Poker: I had borrowed a friend's computer to play in the World Championship of Online Poker last Friday, and all for naught -- I finished 333 out of 1781, getting none at all of the over $300,000 prize pool. Now, I'm back to playing poker on my Mac, but on the upside I found a new place to play -- Bugsy's Club -- and after testing it out this weekend, I'm happy to add it to my list of the best online poker sites for Mac users.
[Ultimatebet.com] Play Online Poker Games and Texas Hold'em at UltimateBet.com: In this case, weirdly, the no-no word was "dollar." Since players can enter this tournament on a freeroll through UltimateBet.net, there's a very strong Chinese Wall between the fact of this tournament and the fact that, in the real world of poker, money sometimes changes hands. So even though a tournament may use virtual dollars of a certain assigned values, around here they're "chips, only chips, and nothing but the chips, so help us God." And so I wait to do the fix, before catching my flight back to Vegas, and picking up the action there, probably not until late tonight or tomorrow.
[Pokerati.com] Pokerati.com ...: While it's no shocker to Pokeratizens that young people are playing online, the story does give us a fresh taste of what it's like to be really young and really good at this silly little game. And it's kinda funny to see online players with NO brick-and-mortar experience being treated as if they actually have accomplished something.
