Poker Library > The Futility of Affiliate Programs for Poker Bloggers
[Bills Blog] I’ve had more than a few conversations about affiliate programs with my fellow bloggers and I’m becoming more and more convinced that any attempt to generate significant income via these programs is an exercise in futility. I know, I can already hear the gasps out there but let me explain.
Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.
[Rini.org] Bills Blog: Well, first off, much like Abulafia’s post confirms, my personal observation is that most of the blog and message board posts I’ve seen indicate that a significant percentage of the folks doing the bonus whoring are break-even players. Those that are better than break-even players need to look at the +/- EV considerations that I mentioned in this post.
[Technorati.com] Technorati Tag: poker: This page shows blog posts, photos, and links that have been tagged poker. To contribute to this page, just post to your blog and include this code.
[Pokernerd.blogspot.com] Missives from a Degenerate Underachiever: 12/01/2004 - 12/31/2004: And, yes, this was a total coincidence that I probably bought the best book for beginners, but maybe, subconsciously, while flipping through the section at B&N, I could see that this would be the book that could get things started. Anyway, after a month or so, the excitement wore off and I headed back to Pyramids or JT's Blocks or one of the other stupid games.
