WSoP Coverage
[Bills Blog] Give your fellow poker bloggers some action: Paulys WSOP Live Blog FlipChips WSOP Photo Gallery And last but not least, PokerProfs 2005 World...
Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.
[The Fat Guy] Lost Wages, Friday & Saturday Afternoon: Now, at the table, of course, I have the eventual winner (Rini) to my left, Easycure to my right, blank seat, on around to The Rooster, and lord knows who else. I play a crappy game of tournament poker, with one or two blind wins, and I think I pushed someone off a pot with a big bet where I would have had a winner, since I was only playing my cards. The only interesting part of the tournament for me was when the blank seat was filled by none other than Pokerati Dan, fresh in off of a night of playing local N.
[Catching The Antichrist] WPBT Vegas: Friday Afternoon: Joining the rest of the blogger crew revealed that JoeSpeaker had busted out on the last hand before the break, his Hiltons falling to the mighty AJo; Bobby Bracelet had survived the first two levels and was playing at a table with Carlos Mortenson; Otis was alive and flourishing over on the back side of the room; Easycure had been knocked out by a WSOP bracelet holder; and two of our bloggers hadn’t even been able to get into the tourney. It was a true madhouse - there were as many people playing no limit hold’em in the Rio conference room at the beginning of Event #2 as there are living in my hometown.
[Fred Bals' Blog aka fhb] 2005 WSOP Event #2: Pauly of Tao of Poker and his younger brother, Derek, made the trip from New York, Maudie from Poker Perspective came from Oklahoma and other bloggers from around the country have gathered here in Las Vegas. Their presence is three fold; the annual Poker Blogger Convention, a Blogger tournament on Saturday at the Aladdin Hotel's poker room scheduled for 10:00 am and, of course, the World Series of Poker. These people are real poker bloggers that have been writing their thoughts about the sport even before it was the fashionable thing to do, way back when only a few knew what a blogger was.
[Catching The Antichrist] WPBT Vegas: Thursday Evening - Friday Morning: I don’t know what to do when I’m confronted with a child out of Dawn Of The Dead. In order to avoid any unpleasantries, I put on my headphones, played The Poker Blogger’s Guide to 1990s Indie Rock (copies of which are now owned by Steve and The Tsunami Hitchhiker), and reviewed Harrington’s book while ignoring the consistent elbows. I’ve read that book at least ten times by now, but I started at the beginning again just to make sure all the basic concepts were clear in my head.
[Guinnessandpoker.blogspot.com] Party Poker Blogs: I've now been playing online poker fulltime long enough that I have developed an adequate notion of security (as far as poker being sustainable income). It has dawned on me that my current source of income is not entirely location dependant and I'm free to wander wherever decent internet connections are prevalent. Unfortunately, I am by no means getting rich off this now delitefully tedious game, but I am managing to aggressively pay off debt I've accumlated through the years, as well as cover bills, rent, taxes, and still have enough left over to support my expensive dining and drinking habits (Sushi has become a "top ten" expense as of recent).
[Lasvegasvegas.com] Las Vegas and Poker Blog - WSOP, WPT and other tournament poker ...: Having spent a number of years covering the WSOP at the Horseshoe and remembering trying to crowd more people into Benny's Bullpin than would fit; I, for one, am looking forward to this year's uptown tournament. Of course, I'll miss many of the things that were downtown traditional to the World Series of Poker; but I won't miss the lousy lighting that made good photos an impossibility. I won't miss the crowded corridors that were impossible to navigate, nor will I miss that peculiar odor that had permeated the Horseshoe the last few years.
[Wpbtonline.com] WPBT - World Poker Bloggers Tour: Iggy announced a fourth and final tournament scheduled for this Sunday for a WPBT WSoP Satellite for the $1500 NL event, which will take place on June 3rd at the Rio in Las Vegas. Here’s your fourth shot at getting in a lot cheaper.
[Blog.pokerwords.com] Poker Words - A Poker Blog: Bloggers in the WSOP: Congrats to Bob from one2many.blogspot.com. He beat out 77 other poker bloggers and will be representing the poker blogging community at the $1500 NL Holdem event in this year's WSOP. Congrats Bob.
